PIERS ISLAND SHUTTLE
We provide a regular shuttle services to Piers Island, a private island of over 120 households located near Swartz Bay, BC. Our Piers Island membership pre-purchases punch cards in order to secure a scheduled service year round.
Annually, the boat carries over 1,500 passengers over 350 sailings. Water taxis and light cargo runs carry 100's of other passengers and literally tons of luggage, groceries, furniture, appliances, building materials, etc. each year.
Members and their guests use Punch Cards to ride the Shuttle.
This service is not offered to the general public, nor Islanders without Punch Cards.
Card holders can purchase additional Cards onboard from the Shuttle's skipper, as and when required. Please note that these Cards are valid only for the period June 1, 2024 to May 31st, 2025. They are not redeemable for cash and lost or stolen cards cannot be replaced.
The annual membership fee is $25 and purchase by Islanders in our pre-sale period gives them access to the Piers Water Taxi services, in addition, if a punch card is purchased with the pre-sale period (and the target is met) you gain access to the Scheduled Service. It also gives you the right to vote at our AGM if you are a titled property owner on Piers. Pre-sales run May 1 - 31st each year. New owner? You may become a member and purchase a card within 30 days after your possession date.

PIERS ISLAND WATER TAXI & CARGO RUNS
Private water taxis and cargo hauling are available to members between Swartz Bay Government Dock or Canoe Cove Marina, and the Piers Island Government Dock or your private dock.
One of our vessels is largely dedicated to serve Piers Island, ready on standby, throughout the year.
Advance notice is appreciated for bookings. In emergencies, our response time is a few hours or less.

$100 for 1-6 passengers $120 up to 7-12 passengers
CARGO RUNS (2024) Effective May 10, 2024
$150 for bulky or heavy cargo such as appliances, furniture, building materials.
(Includes 15 minutes loading and 15 minutes unloading; with an additional charge of $10 per 10 minutes of extra wait time)
For safety - we operate only in daylight hours
An additional Solo Charge of $30 is applied when there is more than 2 hours between bookings
GST is not included in prices
