We were very fortunate to have had 2 vessels donated to us in return for keeping this service going. These vessels have been in service for many years and upkeep is required. For a new Society starting out, we are pleased to say that we have just had our 2nd Birthday in January 2026.
We will be needing to replace one vessel due to age, so this will be a fundraising year for us. We serve the needs of many and must look to the future and a vessel that will take us through the next 30 years.
Each vessel can carry up to 12 passengers and the skipper. It makes for a wonderful intimate experience on the water and is wheelchair/walker friendly. With our access doors being flush to the docks we are perfect for transiting shoppers and their groceries, seniors and those with accessibility issues and many more.
We welcome any donation to help support Sea Star continue our services and make our vessels more efficient.
We are not a registered charity, so donations are not tax deductible, but they are very much appreciated and you can donate any amount you choose, whenever you wish - just click the link below to donate. For larger donations please email us directly.

A new sea star vessel
We are at the research and design phase, but we know that a new vessel is required and our approximate budget will be in the $150,000 range. We are grateful for any and all contributions towards a new vessel and a full philanthropic donation would warrant the naming of the vessel. Can you picture it? Sea Star .... (subject to approval :)) sailing the Salish Seas for many, many years. Please contact Directors at [email protected] for more details on naming rights.
We want to thank the businesses that help us with their extra special service year round.
FOUNDING MEMBERS
In our first year of service as a non-profit we had a wonderful group of people who became our Founding Members. They understood the need for monetary support in getting this business off the ground and into the water for smooth sailing. We would like to to personally thank our 2024 Founding Members:
